5 Grain Flour Pancake
Five-grain flour pancakes are a type of pancake made with a mixture of five different whole-grain flour: whole wheat flour, oats flour, ragi flour, maize, and black gram flour. These pancakes are typically denser and nuttier in flavor compared to traditional pancake recipes that use only all-purpose flour. The combination of different grains provides a nutritionally balanced meal, high in fiber, protein, and complex carbohydrates. These pancakes are typically sweetened with sugar and leavened with baking powder and baking soda. They can be served with syrup or any other accompaniment of your choice.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup each of whole wheat flour, oats flour, Ragi flour, Maize, and Black Chana flour( or use EatShudh's 5 Grain Flour)
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
2 tbsp melted butter
Cooking spray or oil for cooking
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, use EatShud's 5 Grain flour.
Add sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the bowl and mix well.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk, and melted butter.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy.
Heat a large non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray or oil.
Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, pour batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a pancake.
Cook until the edges start to dry and the surface is dotted with bubbles.
